Perception of death in preschool children
HNOJSKÁ, Michaela
My bachelor´s thesis focuses on the issue of children´a perception of death in preschool age. Specifically, it explores how children cope with death of their father and the support they received within the family. The theoretical part addresses loss within the family, delving deeper into the perception of death. It also the specifics of children´s grieving and the possibilities of supporing children going through grief. Additionally it briefly discusses the topis of death in children´s books. The practical part is a research probe mapping how six children met and coped with the death of their father in preschool age. It represents how mothers and children have communicated and how much their lives have changed since this event. It turned out that the manner of death played a role in the settlement; children whose fathers were dying of a serious illness witnessed a gradual deterioration in their physical condition and accepted death as a kind of natural outcome. On the contrary, in children whose father died a violent death (suicide and murder), they reacted more strongly. In one case, where the mother kept her daughter a secret during the time of her father's death, a more difficult grieving is evident. In the monitored families, the established order of the day is observed and the children remember their father with a watch or looking at their joint photos. They sometimes use children's literature to communicate - Lentilka for Grandpa Eda, Špunťa and me or a stuffed animal who is the mediator of these conversations. In some cases, children have developed certain rituals that help them overcome the absence of their father.

Metaphor of father absence in a family in daughter's visual art
CÁBOVÁ, Zuzana
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the absence of the father in the family during the development and growing up of the daughter, the consequences of this absence and their reflection in the visual production of the adult daughter. The theoretical part summarizes the basics of the current understanding of the complex relationships between father and daughter. Furthermore, the basic principles of the interpretation of pictorial symbolism are described. In the practical part, the relationships between the physical or emotional absence of the father, paternal deprivation and the symbolic meaning of the daughter's artistic artefacts are sought. For the analysis of art metaphors were used pictorial series of 9 women whose life experience best fit the goal of the thesis. The first eighteen paintings (i.e. three authors) were interpreted in detail in the text; the analyzes of the other series of pictures were given only by a headword in the interpretational summary. The result of the interpretation work was to find a lot of metaphors of the father's absence and paternal deprivation. Metaphors appeared across the entire formal and content levels of the visual work. The symbols and metaphors found proved to be inseparable from their pictorial context, yet their discovery brought interesting insights into the issue.
Be a good father
HRABĚTOVÁ, Iva
Men's perception of fatherhood influenced their upbringing, the experience, and the society in which they live. The research aimed to explain the mother-child relationship, and the topic of fatherhood used to be neglecting. The interest of researchers is recently changing. I described how fathers perceive fatherhood before the birth of a child and the change after. The aim was to determine how expectations in the fatherhood role differ from the fulfillment of this role. I used qualitative research. I contacted ten respondents who answered three main questions. Respondents agreed that fatherhood is a process that is constantly evolving. Fatherhood is about a greater responsibility to the family. The reality after childbirth was different from their imagination before. They also agreed that being a father is a full-time job, but there may not be any conflicts of social roles.

The content of this bachelor thesis is psychospiritual crisis from the perspective of pastoral and social work. In the theoretical part I describe the forms and manifestations of psychospiritual crisis and try to explain how this crisis differs from mental illness. I have used a case study as the research design. The selection of respondents was based on a theoretical sampling of the data, which I then interpreted through content analysis. In the practical part, the research questions are asked. The results of the investigation are presented in the conclusion of the thesis. The aim of the study was to find out how the issue of psychospiritual crisis is perceived by social and pastoral workers. Social workers consider psychospiritual crisis as an important topic and feel that there is a lack of awareness of this issue in the field of social work. Most pastoral workers, especially in the Catholic Church, were seen to be uninterested in the topic related to psychospiritual crisis. Some of the respondents did not comment on important issues at all and did not feel the need to elaborate on the issue. Although I am aware of the...
